               Identifying, isolating, and analyzing Imagery Exploitation Support System (IESS) and software problems under the Geo Scout contract. Includes design and implementation of immediate software corrections for mission critical applications.

               Assists site personnel in the preparation of Problem Reports in accordance with CUBIC procedures.

               Serves an IESS technical liaison between the IESS site and the IESS Central Support Facility relaying problems and software fixes for the IESS system to the IESS engineering staff.

               Coordinates and directs the installation, integration, and testing of emergency patches, Mandatory Update (MUD) tapes, and scheduled software update releases to the IESS system.

               Overseeing of operators and users in bringing the IESS system up and down, performing system re-boots/restarts. Monitors system performance parameters applying both intelligence analyst skills and system software skills and decisive judgment (30 years in aggregate) to analyze the performance and make adjustments to fine tune system performance to site specific requirements and mission.

               Performs system administration tasks and software related maintenance tasks.

               Interprets advanced requirements and writes software command procedures, software programs, special queries, etc. as requested by Government site management in support of routine to critical, and simple to complex mission requirements.

               Provides on-site on-the-job training for IESS operators, users, and managers. Responsible for the development of a portion of the site operational procedures relating to the IESS system.

               Applies 35 years of experience as an intelligence analyst and IESS field site representatvie. Providing technical advice, skill, and judgment to site personnel concerning IESS system capabilities and limitations.

               Extremely knowledgeable of IESS programming techniques and languages (15 years), DEC UNIX and SUN Unix Operating Systems (15 years), SybaseÔ Relational Database (15 years), DEC Alpha/SUN Computer equipment and peripherals (15 years), IESS Functionality, and IESS Communications Protocols (25 years).

IESS Software Engineer I

               Responsible for authoring software systems design documentation for CATIS (now known as IESS) compliant with Military Standard 2167. Documents authored include the IESS System Software Specification, IESS System Requirements Specification, IESS System Top Level Design Document, IESS Database Design Document, and others. Coordinated design reviews with other software engineers, Configuration Management, and Quality Assurance. Conducted unit and system level factory acceptance tests in compliance with DoD STD-2167. Verified and validated system integration. Authored IESS Software and Computer Operations User Manuals and conducted on-site user training for DoD personnel in West Germany, Panama, and South Korea. Provided technical input for IESS design requirements, reviews, and development processes.

Imagery Analyst

               Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge, US Military Intelligence Systems, Operations Branch. Managed acquisition and operation of Intelligence Information Handling Systems. Selected by the command as the primary participant to attend IESS design reviews. Implemented programs within HQ ESC related to intelligence information handling, processing, acquisition and dissemination. Mission Specific Systems included Communications Support Processor (CSP), Modular Architecture for the Exchange of Intelligence (MAXI) Computer-Aided Tactical Information System (CATIS) evolve into IESS, and others.
